Kid Friendly Activities to Beat the Rain Near Mission Viejo
One of the many perks of living in Southern California is that we don’t have to deal with a lot of weather—we practically always have sunshine and warm temperatures. However, sometimes we do get a few rainy days in the winter, and we’ve been hit especially hard this year. At New Generation Dentistry, we want our patients to be able to enjoy time with their families. Here are some indoor activities that you can enjoy with your kids in the Mission Viejo area when the sun isn’t shining so bright!
Jump’n Jammin
This place is a great option if you have young kids that are full of energy. This indoor playground is completely enclosed, so you don’t have to worry about your little ones slipping away from you—they’ll stay safe inside! There are slides, play areas, and benches and tables in case you need to take a breather. There are a few restaurants to choose from in the building, and you also have the option to leave and come back the same day without paying again. They also have free wifi, which is a plus if you’re a hardworking parent with bills to pay and websites to surf. Whether you want to play with your child, sit and get some work done while they play, or head to the mall nearby, your kids will have a blast!
Escape the Place
Located just outside of Mission Viejo in Lake Forest, this escape room boasts being completely kid friendly and “not scary.” Their escape rooms feature puzzles, riddles, and challenges to bond your family into a well-oiled machine. If you’ve got sibling rivalry issues, they have a competition room to battle it out in a safe and fun way! Just be sure to call and make an appointment ahead of time.
PLAYlive Nation
While video games aren’t the most popular activities for kids, rainy days are the perfect time for them. This “social gaming lounge” is a great place for gamers to try out and play just about any game their heart desires (yes, they have fortnight!) Complete with comfy chairs, a social atmosphere, and lots of food options, this is a modern arcade for a fair price. If your kids like video games, this could be a great way to encourage that interest in a social environment. Plus, if you don’t want to own all of the games and systems at home, consider the occasional trip to this lounge a fair compromise!
CircusTrix OC
This place pretty much has everything a child’s heart could desire, and maybe even yours, too. There are foam pits, over 70 trampolines, and obstacle courses. No matter your age, you can find something to give you an adrenaline rush. You can even play dodgeball or do aerial jumps, so you could say it’s pretty hardcore. If it’s too hardcore for you…parents can accompany their kids at no extra cost. There’s also a kid jump from 9-10 am each weekday for kids that are up to 6 years old.
We know rainy days can feel like a bummer at first, but there are plenty of opportunities for family friendly fun indoors! With these ideas up your sleeves, you’ll be prepared for the rainy season each year. And you know what else is a great rainy day activity? Going to the dentist!
